50 mile race start time: 6:00 am (13 hour time limit) 50 kilometer race start time: 8:00 am 25 kilometer race start time: 10:00 am 4 kilometer canicross race start time: 10:30 am The first 350 registered runners will receive a technical t-shirt. 50k race finishers will receive a silver cowbell, 50 miler finishers will receive a gold cowbell. Locker rooms, showers and restrooms will be available all day at the YMCA. For more information on the 4k Canicross race click HERE. DROP BAGS In the start/finish area at "The Grove" there will be an area designated for runners to leave drop bags. Runners will pass this location at approximately 10 miles into each 25k lap and then again at the end of each lap. 50k runners will pass the drop bag location 3 times during the race (10, 15.5, 25.5 miles) and 50 mile runners will pass the drop bag location 5 times during the race (13.5, 19, 29, 34.5, 44.5 miles). PACERS Pacers will be allowed for 50 mile runners at any point during their 3rd (final) 25k lap. Pacers will be required to check in with their runners at registration, or fill out a pacer registration form in advance (available soon). POST RACE In the spirit of Memorial Day, there will be a post-race BBQ with food, beer and music, free to all runners and volunteers. Friends and family of runners may purchase a meal ticket at the food tent on race day for a small fee. Bring your own chair or blanket, or relax at one of our picnic tables to relive tales of the trail. BBQ begins at 12:00pm Sports massage will be available after the race. AWARDS Hand-crafted awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and the top male and female finisher in each of the following age groups: Lawn Boy/Lawn Girl: up to 34 A team prize will be awarded in each race to the first place team. A team must consist of 4 runners entered under the same team name or running club. Please note this is not a relay race. One prize will be awarded to the overall top finisher of the canicross race. |
